March Break Youth Writing Camp
Calling young writers ages 11-15! Gertrude’s Writing Room is proud to offer its first-ever March Break Youth writing camp!
Camp runs from 9am-12pm Monday through Friday of the 2020 March Break. Join teachers Vanessa Shields and Alley Biniarz for a week-long writing extravaganza.
Over the week, we will be learning and writing together. We will be focusing on many different types of writing that will engage and excite your writing minds. Lessons on poetry, playwriting, comic book writing, journal writing, fiction writing, non-fiction writing, genre fiction (fantasy/sci-fi/horror), screenwriting (for television and film) and zines.
It’s all-hands on deck in this writing class, so bring your laptop if you’ve got one and that’s what you like to write on. If not, we’ll supply loads of journals, books, pens, pencils and whatever writing tools you may need.
We will also welcome guest writers who are experts in their field to join us over the week.
If you’re looking for a writer’s dream class – THIS IS IT!
