Crafty Afts (afternoons) are for craft-lovers of the world! Gather with friends and family for hot glue, iron-on, magazine-cutting excitement! Create bookish gifts or inspirational items for those you love (including yourself!). Gertrude’s Writing Room has an array of hands-on artsy, crafty stuff to indulge in!

We will:

  • gather with other bookish types to craft and create gifts for the ones you love
  • share some yummy snacks
  • talk bookish things with bookish people
  • enjoy hands-on gift-making – great for the earth, even better for the heart!
  • whatever you make – you keep!

Crafty Ideas include:

  • sassy aprons
  • clever bookmarks
  • literary wrapping paper
  • writerly stationary
  • vinyl art
  • prompt jars
  • chocolate bar wraps

COST: $30.00/ PERSON. Pay cash upon arrival or e-transfer to shieldsvanessa@gmail.com. Please only pay via e-transfer once your spot is confirmed.

Registration needed. 10 crafters max. First-register, first-participate. You can register for up to two Crafty Afts at a time.

AGES 12 AND UP WELCOME.

  • Send an email to shieldsvanessa@gmail.com with ‘CRAFTY AFTS REGISTRATION’ in the subject line.
  • Include in your email, your full name, contact number. If you are registering for more than one person, please include his/her/their contact information as well.
  • Include the date of the Crafty Aft you’d like to attend. You can register for two at a time, however, please let us know as soon as you can if you are unable to attend after you’ve registered. This way we can open up the spot again.
  • You will receive an email letting you know if you are confirmed.
